HOT SHOT - The Karen Young Reheat
Released in 2008 on the MaxRoxx Music label. Andy Kahn wrote, produced and arranged the original song "Hot Shot," released in 1978 which earned him his first Number One Gold Record. Andy, a partner in MaxRoxx Music, developed 5 new mixes of the classic Disco hit, utilizing the original vocal performance of Karen Young. Mixes by the MaxRoxx Team and internationally acclaimed DJs Ralphi Rosario, Wayne G and Paul Goodyear.
RENDEZVOUS WITH ME - Karen Young
Released in 2009 on the MaxRoxx Music label, Andy Kahn wrote this song specifically for Karen Young in 1979. He recorded her vocal performance during the same year. "Rendezvous With Me" was originally intended to follow "Hot Shot" after the release of Karen's "Hot Shot" LP on West End Records. Unfortunately, "Rendezvous With Me" was never released in any format. Following the success of the 2008 "Hot Shot" remixes, Andy knew it was time to pull this gem out of the tape closet. Restoring the unfinished master tape recordings, then utilizing Karen's 1979 vocal track and the original horn arrangements resulted in a brand new song by the late Karen Young. With "Rendezvous With Me," Karen once again demonstrates her incredible vocal talents, so evident in "Hot Shot." Karen Young wails on the world's dance floors in her final encore performance.
THE BANK OF LOVE - Pamala Stanley
New song Andy Kahn co-wrote for vocalist Pamala Stanley. This mainsteam dance club mix showcases the extraordinary talent of Pamala Stanley, best known for her 1982 smash hit "Coming Out of Hiding." "The Bank of Love" was co-produced by Andy Kahn for MARZ Productions. Released May 2010 on the MaxRoxx Music label.
