Andy Kahn
Andy shares his musical talents as a private teacher to students of Jazz Harmony and Improvisation in Philadelphia and Atlantic City. He performs fundraising events and appears in concert, presenting his "Music by Intention" series based on The Great American Songbook composers in Philadelphia, Atlantic City and New York City nightclubs, concert halls and adademic institutions. Andy gained notoriety as a gifted pianist, composer, arranger and record producer in the 1970s. He wrote, arranged and produced the Number 1 dance song "Hot Shot" by Karen Young in 1978, earning him his first gold record. Andy is a Steinway Spirio Artist, aVoting Member for the Grammy Awards' Recording Academy and is the Artist-in-Residence for Jacobs Music company. Devoting his musical talent to benefit others, he also administrates Southwark Decorating with partner Bruce H. Cahan, servicing residential and commercial clients throughout the United States.
